Hello! Thank you for lending your voice to ‘Our Windermere’. I want to know about how this area plays a part in your life, and what your hopes are for its future. You’re welcome to give as much or as little detail as you like on each question, but I hope it will take less than ten minutes of your time.

Clips of interviews will feature in a Windermere 'soundtrack' to be played alongside live music in performance. (Not sure what I mean? See below for an example from a previous project.) Please follow the instructions carefully to record your interview.

1. Prepare your device to record. On smart phones, use the voice memo or voice note functions. Computers and laptops may have their own voice recorders or you can use this website. You might like to do a test recording first.

2. Press record now.

Please record your answers to any or all of the following questions. Get comfy, speak as you normally would and try not to rush.

All questions relate to Windermere, the lake and surrounding area.

  • Where in or around Windermere do you spend the most time? What do you do when you’re there?

  • Tell me about a memorable experience of Windermere.

  • What does Windermere mean to you?

  • Who do we share the area with?

  • If you regularly spend time in Windermere, what (if any) changes have you noticed? These could be seasonal or over a longer period.

  • How do you think the area will change in the future? What (if any) role should we have in it?

  • Is there anything else you’d like to tell me about Windermere?

3.  Brilliant! You can stop recording now. Please save your recording and email it to me at isobelmortimermusic@gmail.com (subject 'Our Windermere recording').

By emailing your interview, you agree that I can use all or part of your recording in this and future versions of the project. Recordings may be used for future promotional material or shared with artistic partners. Your name will not be made public, but of course your voice might be identifiable! My privacy policy is available at the bottom of the page, and you can contact me at isobelmortimer345@gmail.com with any further questions.

Thank you!
