Education
I am passionate about music education and teach clarinet, flute, saxophone and piano. I teach for Cumbria Music Service based in and around the South Lakes.
I love making music and believe that learning should be a fun and rewarding experience. Music has so many benefits and I love seeing students grow in confidence as well as ability. Adult learners are more than welcome - my motto is 'it's never too late to learn an instrument'!
I am also an experienced ensemble leader and workshop facilitator. Community music is brilliant in so many ways and I have loved being involved in setting up choirs, bands and music schemes for children, adults and residential homes.
I have delivered and assisted with sessions for the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, the National Citizen Service and conducted ensembles such as the Stockport Music Service Junior and Beginner Wind Bands.

'I would definitely recommend this experience to other teachers and would love having you visit again.'
'It was the right balance of listening and doing and the children were captivated.'
'Thank you so much for the fantastic music session that you delivered for us. It was very interactive and fun. The children really enjoyed listening to the beautiful music, using their imaginations to feel and explore the music, playing themselves as instruments and looking at how your instruments worked.'
